Home Business Made Easy

When my husband and I decided to build a large nursery on our property and open a small business we had no idea how difficult some of the paperwork was going to be. Very quickly a few piles of papers grew into stacks knee deep. I began looking at software to help us without problem and luckily I found something from Peachtree Accounting to help us with our office paperwork. It took a few days to get it all in order but once we did it was smooth sailing from then on.

We should have installed some kind of accounting software before we opened for business but like many small business owners we never imagined one small business could equal so many paper work headaches.

Our business has grown considerably in the eight years we’ve been open. We’ve added two new greenhouses and three employees to keep up with the demands of our customers. We have several landscapers who use our business exclusively so we have to always be prepared. The software I use to do billing and payroll is a lot like Quickbooks. It allows us to prepare invoices, send out monthly statements, and easily calculate and print payroll checks. It has been a life-saver for us.

We are looking to expand again in the next year or so; we’ll be including a very large selection of trees as well as live Christmas trees. No matter how big we get the Peachtree accounting software for home businesses grows right along with us. I’ve only had to add one new program to the existing software since we began using it. I wouldn’t change now even if a new program was given to me. I’ve gotten comfortable using the program we’ve been using all along. Everything that needs to be done per office type work can be done with the existing business accounting software that we’ve been using almost since we opened our business.
